TRENT VOBF Series Pit Type Ovens are designed for air draw processing in the metal heat treat field. Like other TRENT ovens, it combines rugged industrial type construction with cost economy. This oven employs vertical air recirculation to obtain work chamber uniformity.

A recirculating fan is located at the bottom of the heat chamber beneath the workbasket. The fan draws air through the work load in the basket from top to bottom. The air is then forced outward to the chamber side wall where the heating elements are mounted. Air then passes upwards over the heating elements in the space between the air flow baffle and oven inner liner casing wall for reheating. After reheating, air passes back into the basket at its top. The air flow baffle also acts to position the work basket in the chamber.

The oven is floor mounted on 24" high legs. A removable aluminized steel basket with solid side wall and mesh type bottom fits into a receptacle mounted to the oven floor. Access to the work chamber is through the top opening which is covered by a hinged type door with handle which protrudes beyond the side of the oven and rests against a stop in the open position.

Control of the oven is usually maintained by thermostat type controller and necessary switching, however, more sophisticated systems may be furnished if desired.
